I am a good girl. Eva (00:14): Okay. So the doorbell just rang and it was a new microwave. Kami (00:19): The new microwave. And why do you need a new one? Eva (00:22): We have been in this house for 12 years, so all the appliances are 12 plus years old. They were new when we moved in, but I'm surprised they've lasted this long. Okay. So what started happening with the microwave was when you pulled the door, the silver part of the front would just pull away from the actual door. So it just wore out. There's nothing wrong with the actual microwave, but the door started to fail. And it didn't affect anything except it was just like, I live in a janky trash house. Fine. Kami (01:00): Just such is life. Eva (01:03): Yeah, it's all good. Kami (01:05): Totally. Eva (01:06): So then a week later, my husband decided he was going to try to glue it. So he glued the door back together and I came in that kitchen and it had the clamps holding it together. Then he decided it was dry and took the clamps off. And then I opened the microwave and I immediately pulled the door right off again. Kami (01:26): It's totally wrong. Yeah. Eva (01:28): Yep. So then he decided to screw it back together. Kami (01:34): I don't think metal and microwaves, I don't really. I mean, I heard this story that that's not a good idea. Eva (01:37): You're the second person who has said that exact thing about screwing it back on. So I'm just going to show you a picture. Kami (01:45): I love this so much. Eva (01:47): Yes. Kami (01:48): No. Eva (01:48): He screwed it right there. Right there. Screwed it back on. Kami (01:53): Oh, that is classy. Eva (01:54): So then I was like, okay, I really don't want to spend $500 on a new microwave right now. But I though, well, I'm just going to look up how much is a new microwave. Is that one of the- Kami (02:04): You have the built-in kind, not like the $60 one you can put on your counter. Eva (02:09): Over the range one. In my mind it was going to be like - Kami (02:12): Yeah. Eva (02:13): And it turned out it was really like a $179 microwave. So I was like - Kami (02:18): Oh, that's not bad. Eva (02:19): Okay, can you please just buy a new microwave? And that's who was at the door, was the guy who needed me to sign for the new microwave. It was massive. So I just left it out there because I'm not going to lift it. Kami (02:30): I think it's totally okay. Eva (02:32): Yeah. So yeah. Kami (02:33): Absolutely fine. Eva (02:35): What will be next at the fridge or the dishwasher? Kami (02:40): Inquiring minds want to know. Eva (02:42): Please don't let it be the fridge. Kami (02:44): Yeah. So it's this very elegant British lady and she's doing some kind of recipe and she has to warm up the milk for whatever baking thing she's doing. She's like, "And then I put the cream in the mikro wave." Eva (03:32): Oh, we've talked about this before. Kami (03:33): Have we talked about this? Because every time it comes across I see it. It's more hysterical to me every time I listen to this stupid fucking meme. I was like the mikro wave. Oh, no? Okay. Eva (03:46): Speaking of mispronouncing, my daughter has decided the word is not fragrance. It is fragrance. Kami (03:55): Fragrance. Eva (03:56): Correct her when she says fragrance, she says, "Nope, it's fragrance." And she will not let it go. Yes. So they're on their fourth day of their new school today. It's been a great week. Kami (04:10): Good. Eva (04:11): They've done really well. They both come home happy every day. Kami (04:14): Good. Kordelia's first day was today. So she's still at school right now. Eva (04:19): Oh. Kami (04:19): Yeah. We did meet the teacher last night and I think it's going to be good. So fingers crossed. Eva (04:24): You like the teacher? Kami (04:28): I talked to her for a few minutes. It was a lot of chaos because there's a lot of people coming in and out. And I did kind of say, "Hey, I want to have a little one-on-one chat with you to kind of talk to you about some things we experienced last year that I want to make sure whatever." And when I told her a couple of things, she kind of looked at me like, "What are you talking about? What?" She's like, "Okay, so I need you to give me some. We'll talk, but I need some specific examples of some things." "Okay. Well, I can give you a half a dozen. "So I sent her a message today, so we'll hopefully set up a time to call. Eva (05:00): Teachers love that on the first day of school. Kami (05:02): I know. I was like," I am so sorry that I have entered your orbit, but here I come". When I was chatting with her, I didn't get a lot of emotional range. So that tells me that she's super cerebral intellectual kind of person, which okay, fine. Because it wasn't like," Oh my God, I'm so sorry to hear that. Let's chat. "It was just like," Okay, let me know if you would like to schedule something next week. "All right. So I think it's going to be fine. I just think that's just kind of her personality. It's not bad. There's a lot of people like that. It's fine. So not everybody needs to be level 99 like me. So we will see. Eva (05:49): Yeah. Kami (05:50): All right. Eva (05:51): Ellie did get in trouble on Tuesday. You want to guess what she got in trouble for? Kami (05:57): Oh, for talking in class? It talked about any surgeries you've had, family history of heart issues or cancer. I mean, it was very, very in depth, just like you would go if you were sitting in front of a doctor. (09:35): When you complete the form, you'll get a text message and you do have to upload your ID so they know who you are and they can verify that you are who you are. It'll say, "Thank you for uploading your ID. The telemedicine provider will now review your clinical information and reach out to you with any questions and we'll let you know when your treatment's been approved." And then the next text is that they've reviewed everything, they've approved me, and we'll reach out to you if there's any questions to let you know, but your request has been approved. Eva (10:09): No. So you didn't even have to have a meeting? Kami (10:11): No. So I would imagine that if there were questions or you maybe didn't fill a form out properly or they're like, okay, two and two is not making four here, then they would call you and schedule a time to chat. So today I got a message saying that your request has been approved and sent to the pharmacy. We'll contact you within 24 hours to complete your order. And then 12 hours later, I got a tracking number. Eva (10:41): Nice. Kami (10:41): Yeah. So real quick, so this actually will be delivered, and this was this afternoon, just a few hours ago. And so I'll have it tomorrow. Eva (10:51): Excellent. Kami (10:52): So it was super quick, easy. When I reached out to say, "Hey, the link isn't quite working." They were on top of it right away, emailed me right back. So I was pretty impressed. Eva (11:04): And you paid how much for three months? Kami (11:07): Was it 449 and then - Eva (11:09): 10% Off Kami (11:10): 10% off that. Eva (11:11): Yeah. Kami (11:11): So yeah. Eva (11:13): So like 125 a month for Tirzepatide? Kami (11:15): Yeah, which is unheard of because even getting it at my local pharmacy that compounds, it was still 170 something dollars. Eva (11:26): Oh yeah. Normally I would dose on Fridays anyways. So what I will do, you guys, is I'm going to, when I get the package, I'm going to do a whole unboxing video that will show exactly what everything looks like. And if there's any literature that's involved, I'll go over that. So we'll add that in as a little bonus video at some point. Eva (12:11): And you've been off for quite a while. Kami (12:14): Since April. Eva (12:14): Have you thought about your dosing? So you're basically starting from zero. Kami (12:19): Right. Yeah. So that is going to be the next question is I'm curious to see when it arrives, if there's dosing instructions in there. So we'll see what that looks like. And I probably will start out, if there's a recommended dosage, I'll probably start out with maybe half that for two or three weeks and then kind of go up. But I think that overall, this is a huge value. I'm really kind of surprised. Eva (12:51): Yeah, me too. I'm really happy. Kami (12:54): Definitely. Eva (12:55): It was like years of anxiety for me figuring out how am I going to get this in a way that was easy and not gated. And so this last order that I did from, I can't even remember who it was, that I heard about from a different doctor, was the easiest one I've ever done. And it was really similar to what you did, but it was still like 600 something. And so basically what I've deduced from all of this is that it's pretty much all arbitrage at this point. So if it's all coming from the same place and it's all arbitrage, then it's pretty much. I don't even want to say it. Is it commoditized at this point? Kami (13:42): You use really big words I don't understand. Eva (13:44): Oh, okay. Sorry. I spent too much time with private equity people who use big financial terms. And then I have to Google them. Kami (13:53): Water that shit right down for me if you don't mind. Eva (13:56): Yeah. Okay. Commoditized. Kami (13:58): What does that mean? Eva (14:00): You know how Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, all the different products are basically the same and they're all basically the same price. Kami (14:08): Yeah. Eva (14:09): That's what that means. Kami (14:10): Ah, Okay. Eva (14:11): And so whoever is the lowest is the one saying, "I'm going to make the least margin on this product and I'm going to take all the business away from all of you and then you're going to have to lower your price." So this is what's called the race to the bottom is we're all headed towards the floor. Kami (14:30): Right. Yeah. Eva (14:31): Which is good for us. It's good for patients. Kami (14:34): Yeah, it is. Eva (14:35): It's not good if you built a whole business around it being- Kami (14:39): Being the price that it was. Yeah, I hear you. Eva (14:41): Yeah. I mean, two appointments ago, I was still going to my old plastic surgeon who I still love. My friend who got me started and I paid 1,300 or 1,400 for three months. Kami (14:54): Yeah. I think when I started for semaglutide, I think it was like $750 for three months. Yep. Yeah. Eva (15:02): All right. Well, happy to be here. Now for important legal update. Kami (15:08): Yes. In the middle of June, I had my bench trial for my lawsuit. For those that need a little reminder, I've been suing my former broker for the commission that I earned on the home that I sold to my parents so they can move to Indiana. Still hasn't paid me. It's been a year. When I say trial, it's a bench trial. Your small claims court, it's like you and the judge and the other guy. It's not like this isn't law and order dunk donk. Sorry. But I did kind of explain my whole side. He explained his side. His side was, well, that's just what the contract says. Okay. And she's like, "So you got your 25% that you guys agreed upon and what entitles you to her?" "Well, she left the company. Is she not allowed to do that? "This woman was amazing. And at the end, she slammed her hand on the desk and she's like," I am frustrated. This has been pending since last August. "And I'm like - Eva (16:14): A year? Really. Kami (16:17): Yeah. I filed suit against him, I think August 24th of last year. And it's the first week of August now. Eva (16:24): Yep. Kami (16:25): My attorney and I were both kind of shocked that she didn't just rule right then because everything she was saying was looking like she was going to rule in my favor. And then she's like," Okay, well, I'm going to take this under advisement and review everything just so I can make sure that I'm really clear on all the blah, blah, blah. "And then she says to me," I understand real estate stuff. My husband is a realtor. "And I was like," Oh, I'm definitely getting the money. She knows how this works. "Right? So 30 days go by. And I emailed my attorneys and I'm like," Y'all, what the fuck? "Because he said, he's like," Typically, if they don't rule right away, then usually they'll have a ruling within 30 days. "Okay. So still don't have a ruling. Still don't. I said," So what now? "I thought that it was like," Oh, 30 days, then they rule and it's like that's what it is. "Well, apparently in Indiana, in small claims court, the judge doesn't have any timeframe that they're required to rule within after the trial. I'm like," The fuck is this shit?" Eva (17:39): Why didn't she just close it out? Kami (17:40): I don't know. So I'm like," Well, what do we do now? "He says," Well, your next option is to file, and this is a truth's thing, a lazy judge motion. Eva (17:56): Oh my gosh. Is it actually called that? Kami (17:58): That's the common vernacular for it. I don't know if the actual document doesn't actually say that, but that just basically means that they flip it to a different judge, I guess, and we start over. I'm like, fuck that shit. No. So come to find out there, and I think I've talked about this before, where there's another agent that he screwed out of money. Eva (18:19): Yeah. Kami (18:20): And she's suing. And her court date is. We're in the first week of August. Her court date is August 20th. Exact same situation, literally verbatim, exact same contract, exact same everything. So I am suspecting that she wants to hear that case and then rule on both of them. Eva (18:46): The same judge has both cases? Kami (18:47): Oh yeah, Same judge. Same attorney that I have, she has, and the same judge. And we did that all on purpose for this reason because. Eva (18:54): Okay. It's a pattern. It's a pattern. It's a pattern. Do you know that one? Kami (19:01): I don't know that one, but I like it already. I'm like, "Yeah, it's a pattern. What?" I don't know. Eva (19:06): It's from Go Noodle or. It's a kid's video. It's from one of the kids' channels. Perfect. Sorry. Kami (19:14): Okay. I love that. So we're in hurry up and wait mode. Eva (19:23): That sounds hopeful though. Kami (19:24): Yeah. Eva (19:25): And so just remind me, it was like five grand for you, but it was a lot more for that other agent, right? Kami (19:30): It was 6,000 for me and hers was 10. Eva (19:33): Okay. You haven't given the lawyer $6,000 now, have you? Kami (19:38): No, I've given them probably three. Eva (19:41): All right. Kami (19:42): And I'm suing for my legal fees. It was the principle. Right. I'm suing for my legal fees. And in Hamilton County, they will award up to $10,000 in small claims court. So I'm like, okay, well - Eva (19:53): Oh, so you might get nine or 10 back. Kami (19:57): If I do, because we're asking for 10, which is basically what I've paid in legal fees. And I still have. It's what I will have paid. So I've paid, I think, 3,000 so far. And then I have a bill for $1,300 that I haven't paid yet. But there's just no way that I would've been able to do all of this by myself. I can feel it. Kami (20:29): I 100% believe that. Also, fun fact, because my husband checks the online court cases every day. He's checking every single day. I don't even look at it because I know he's looking at it and he'll just tell me, yeah, whatever. So he sends me a screenshot of another lawsuit. Apparently this guy's being sued by a credit card for a thousand dollars. Eva (20:55): Now, this is a thing. Okay. Have you gotten into Caleb Hammer? Kami (20:59): No. Eva (21:00): Oh my gosh. Okay. So one of my favorite shows that I listen to, follow me here, there's Provenance, is Cody Sanchez, The Big Deal. And I just really like her show most of the time. I almost never miss an episode. Once in a while she's got a guest that I'm like, yeah, I'm bored. She had Caleb Hammer on and he's that guy who does the financial tear downs of these people who spend their money all really badly. Kami (21:28): Oh, he's on TikTok or on Facebook shorts or whatever. Yeah. My husband, he'll show me stuff and he'd be like, "You see? You see? I'm doing what these people are doing and justifying. Oh, I'm going to get this credit card and use the cash back for blah, blah, blah." Eva (21:45): You need to watch him. He is so entertaining. Kami (21:48): Good. Okay. I'll have to look him up. Eva (21:49): He calls people the R word. I mean, I won't even do that. But it's very funny to watch. And so he does a whole series, a sub-series of his podcasts where he pulls these kinds of TikToks about people thinking they're not going to get sued for not paying a credit card for a thousand dollars. And then the credit card company comes along and sues them and they're on TikTok trying to find ways to get out of it as if TikTok is the source of all information in the world. Kami (22:18): Well, definitely not a good source for legal advice. I'm just going to put that out there. Maybe what leggings are kind of hit right now? Yes. Legal advice, no. So yeah, so it's like apparently it's a Caesar's Palace credit card. What? Yeah. So I'm guessing that at one point in time they went to Vegas and he opened up this Caesar's credit card and charged it up with who the hell knows what. Eva (22:47): You can't gamble on a credit card. Kami (22:48): No. Eva (22:48): What was he doing? Buying $8 bottles of water? Kami (22:51): Well, it was like a rewards card thing. You get a Nordstrom card.You use your Nordstrom card and you get rewards. Eva (22:57): But you get points at Caesars. Kami (22:59): Yes. Eva (22:59): Okay. Kami (23:00): And then - Eva (23:01): Yeah, Vegas is going to sue you. Kami (23:04): And I think one of his last payments was like $67. That's how he paid. Eva (23:09): I feel like we need to get Caleb Hammer on this case for sure. This is bad with money. Kami (23:15): Yeah. Eva (23:16): Okay. I cannot wait to see how this turns out. Kami (23:19): That's the update. It's just - Eva (23:21): The wheels of justice turned slowly. Kami (23:23): It's like a snail's pace, but in reverse. I can't. I'm like, it's fine. Eva (23:35): Well, I have to get back to work. Wish me luck having my neck procedure on Monday. So let me just show you one last time for posterity, how bad it looks. Can you see from the side? Kami (23:50): So I've heard a couple things. The jowls are either a weight loss thing or genetic thing. Sometimes it's like even if you're the thinnest person ever, you just can get this stuff here and it's just genetic. What do you know about that? Eva (24:05): True. Yeah. I mean, I have a really good friend who got her neck done when we were like 30 because it was genetic, but this is all weight loss related. Okay. So it's not going to touch the bands, but it'll get some of this kind of loose, wrinkly, crepey pocket. Kami (24:19): So is it a laser treatment? Eva (24:21): It's a laser and the laser looks like a piece of spaghetti that goes under the skin. Kami (24:26): Oh, okay. Eva (24:26): It's got two wavelengths. It melts the fat and it tightens the skin. And then I think she said three days I have to wear a cuckoo head wrap, so I won't be leaving the house. And I'll make sure that I wear it on the show next week and I'll have a very nice update for - Kami (24:40): I'll need to make fun of you a little bit. Eva (24:41): My Junera laser treatment, which is not widely out there yet, but the person who is doing mine is the most experienced one probably in the world at this point. It just happens. And I just remember being like, "Okay." I'm a teenager. I don't give a shit about my mom's neck fucking wrinkles. I do care now though. So mom, I do care now. Okay. Eva (25:45): I'm not really that vain and I wasn't looking for it. It just was not an opportunity that I was going to decline. Kami (25:51): No, I think this is great.
