What's the first question that most women have for you when they begin considering breast augmentation?

Dr. Levens (00:14):
Well, breast augmentation is a very long and complicated story. It's not that complicated surgery. It's been around a long time, but there are women that come in with concerns, safety concerns, because there's a lot of information out there, and I kind of call it a vocal minority of women that through social media, have made it seem like breast implants are the worst thing in the world, when in reality they're the best, simplest, most straightforward way to enhance or augment the breast. So there are some that come with that perspective, but usually if they're interested, then they're not necessarily focusing on that, although we talk about it, which is important. And oh, things like size or right away, I don't want to be fake looking, I don't want to be an exotic dancer. I always say yet, but getting the right size and kind of

Eva Sheie (01:07):
I don't want to be an exotic dancer yet?

Dr. Levens (01:10):
Yeah. Well, I mean, it's interesting because yeah, patients say that, I don't want to be crazy large, and you can be very moderate and reasonable, and there's such things as a B Cup and a C Cup and being proportional. You don't have to be triple D, and. Most women that large are either naturally looking for reduction or usually they're looking to downsize because it ends up being uncomfortable and disproportionate. No, in reality, I believe that, for example, there's a plastic surgeon in town that has a reputation for putting in implants that are two or three or four times larger than what I do, and most plastic surgeons do, because that's the niche that he has developed, of women that tend to be performers in some way. Yes.
